FC Goa is an Indian professional football franchise based in Goa that competes in the Indian Super League. The club was launched on 26th August 2014 and is owned by Goan Football Club Pvt. Ltd. which consists of Mr. Jaydev Mody, Mr. Akshay Tandon and Indian Cricket team captain, Mr. Virat Kohli. The first team squad comprises a vibrant mix of youth and experience and has one of the biggest contingents of local players. FC Goa captain Mandar Rao Dessai has been with the club since its inception and is joined by more fellow Goan players in the squad including Brandon Fernandes, Seriton Fernandes, Saviour Gama, Lenny Rodrigues, Princeton Rebello, Kingslee Fernandes and Mohammed Ali. The 2019/20 squad also includes big name overseas players, with club striker Ferran Corominas the all-time leading goalscorer in the history of the Hero Indian Super League.
